Description

Communication Technology introduces the OrgCom student to the developing role of new media in answering an organization's communication needs. It has two components: (1) a Web design workshop, and (2) an examination of the relationship between organizations and technology in the Philippine setting.

Objectives

Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:

  1. assess the communication needs of an organization and determine the appropriate technology to use in answering such needs;
  2. conceptualize a web site that uses available technology to answer an organization's communication needs; and
  3. produce a web site incorporating text and graphics using HTML and image processing technology.
